![]() ![]() This "flick" has gone through several changes, from being busted in the live servers, to balanced out, to being compleatly gutted, to where it stands now. By pressing your basic attack button during a dash, Oni preforms an instadown attack with his club, which can be turned to a maximum of 90° mid-swing. Bumping into walls doesn't slow you down, and even then you can curve and strafe around obstacles. Demon Dash is slower than a chainsaw sprint, but has insane mobility in comparision. It's easiest to relate it to Billy's chainsaw sprint, but in my opinion is a better standalone power. Holding M2 lets you dash forward after a 2 second channel. For 45 seconds, (using up roughly 2 orbs a second,) Oni has access to two abilities ĭemon Dash is the one you're gonna use the most, for both mobility and downs. Upon acquiring all 100 charges, Oni can hold his secondary power button to activate Demon Mode. 2 orbs a second, but that passive gain will stop at 98 charges, meaning Oni will have to absorb at least one orb by then to get his power. Dropping pallets and exiting lockers: 3 orbs Missing skillchecks, getting hooked, and vaulting: 2 orbs Certain actions will cause survivors to drop more orbs, such as ![]() (40 charges, to be exact.) Injured survivors will also periodically drop blood orbs, dropping two orbs every six seconds for as long as they're injured, and one orb grants 2.5 charges. Hitting a healthy survivor will fill up the power gauge *nearly* halfway. Filling up his gauge requires 100 charges, which you aquire by injuring survivors. Holding his power button allows Oni to absorb blood orbs. He starts off in a form that we'll call "Absorption Mode." In this mode, Oni has nothing to rely on aside from his M1. Oni has a highly unique, and somewhat complicated power, in Yamaoka's Wrath. This is probably gonna be the hardest killer guide for me to make, so I'm glad to get it out of the way first. A good Oni knows which locations surviviors tend to frequent in order to get the most use out of his power, and how to use it in a chase, if such a situation arises. Oni is a killer that makes up for a weak early game with strong map pressure later on, and the ability to wreak havoc on the survivors in short bursts. Who knows? I may even revisit a guide for him in a few months I'm starting off with an Oni guide! While he is pretty new, and has had three changes since transitioning from test to live servers, I have messed around with this killer since launch, and feel that I'm at least somewhat qualified to inform people on how to play him. The people have voted and I have aWnSeReD. He may seem like a big meaty pushover at first, but once he gets his club out and starts downing survivors left and right with it, you'll be dead before you know it.Īlright shitty jokes aside, let's actually get down to business. Oni from Dead By Daylight is definitely quite the fearsome killer.
